This month's featured
tip:
Ask for Referrals!
Our tip for this month
is a real timesaver -- as well as a way to identify the wedding
professionals in your area with the best reputations among
their peers.
Once you've identified one or two key vendors
for your wedding reception -- say your site, photographer,
or your DJ -- ask them for recommendations
for other vendors. It's important that your reception "team"
work well together -- and your key vendors will be able to
suggest other professionals that they trust, and with whom
they've worked before.
What's more, considering
that every wedding business depends on referrals from happy
brides, your vendors are unlikely to recommend anyone they
haven't personally worked with and had a positive experience
with -- quality vendors only want to be associated with similar
peers. If you get the same names from several different vendors,
the odds are very good that these vendors are well-respected
by their fellow professionals.
One caveat: in some markets, paid referrals
are prevalent. To be sure that your vendor's recommendations
are "from the heart," ask them if they ever accept
compensation for their referrals.
