Be Prepared for Emergencies!
It's almost inevitable that some small thing
(or two... or ten!) will go wrong on your big day. Take the
following excellent advice from Joann
Pappas of Diamond Video, and you'll be prepared for
almost anything!

Safety Pins
Bobby Pins
Scissors
Tylenol
Pepto-Bismol tabs
Visine
Mints
Kaopectate
Plus ... buy a small steamer (from
Wal-Mart, KMart, etc) -- it will save you hours of struggle
to get wrinkles out of your gown and your bridesmaids' dress
with an iron (which just doesn't work!).
Consider asking a family member (or maybe
your mom?) to bring along a small ice chest with bottled
water and simple snacks like crackers and cheese. When
no one eats in the morning because of nerves, there can be
a lot of hungry, even faint, people before the ceremony even
starts. A few crackers and some water are great for a touch
of queasiness, too!
If your summer wedding's in a hot place,
consider a personal fan for you (or maybe one for everyone
in the bridal party). They only cost about $10 and they can
make wearing a heavy gown much more bearable!
